What you get:
– Deep Pore Brush Head
– 6 oz Deep Pore Daily Cleanser
– 2 oz Detoxifying Clay Mask
I love this detoxifying solutions set for 3 simple reasons, it detoxifies, purifies, and refines. With the help of the clay mask which leaves the skin smooth, soothes irritation, cleans pores, and gets rid of dead skin.
How it works:
It has these two treatments, Kaolin and bentonite which leaves the skin soft and absorbs any excess oil. There is Vitamin C in the clay which shrinks pores and exfoliates any dead, dull skin. Chamomile and aloe are included to calm irritation and makes skin even softer.
How to use:
Twice a week, smooth a thin layer over clean skin. Let sit for 10-15 minutes and wash your face with warm water and the Clarisonic cleansing brush. I use my MIA 2 and the deep pore daily cleanser that is provided in the set.
Make-up remover: PONDS
Cotton Rounds: Cotton Rounds
Moisturizer: Ole Henriksen Sheer Transorfmation
Lip Balm: Alternative – EOS
Now that you have a breakdown of how I wash my face, I want to share with you how I keep it refreshed and moisturized. First, I take off all my makeup with Pond’s fresh wet cleansing towelettes. What I love the most about these towelettes is their texture, its more of an exfoliation cleansing towelette. It’s also infused with vitamin E so while it revitalizes my skin, it’s also leaving it perfectly clean and makeup free.
Next, I move on to my Clarisonic where I make sure to get a nice deep cleanse.
Even after I use my Clarisonic, there is always dirt left over from my makeup. So I recently started using a toner. I just want to point out that this Ole Henriksen toner smell AMAZING. It just smells like freshness! All you need is a piece of cotton, I use these cotton rounds and a few drops from the toner and just clean my whole face and neck. It is important to go down to your neck because there is dirt in that areas as well. This toner leaves my face feeling fresh and clean yet doesn’t dry out my skin like other toners. At first, I was never really sure what toners were used for, but I read a bit on them and realized that my face can use one.
1. Toners even out skin tones, so if you have red spots or un-even skin. It’s good to add a toner to your skin care routine.
2. Removes oil and give the appearance of smaller pores.
3. Moisturizes and freshens skin.
I have really oil and dry skin, which is why I need a toner. I shift to Ole Henriksen because they use natural ingredients that heal breakouts and tightens pores.
Almost done! haha! The next step to my skincare routine is moisturizing. This has got to be one of the most important steps and my favorite! I love hydrating my skin after all these steps. What is so special about this moisturizer that I would spend $40 on? This Ole Henriksen moisturizer is oil free and super lightweight and also fades dark spots. Honestly, I was using a drug store brand before moving on to Ole Henriksen and it would leave my face super greasy and oily. This is the main reason why I wanted to switch over to a premium brand. It has this lightweight silky whipped texture that rubs into my skin so smoothly and easily. There is a potent blend that helps fade dark spots and evens up skin tone. This would be recommended if you’re in your mid- late twenties for premature skin tones.
Finally, I make sure to wear a lip balm to moisturize my lips at night and when preparing to put lipstick. Especially during this dry season, you don’t want to cut your lips from lack of moisture. I usually use EOS because it is so easy to roll on my lips. In addition to taking care of your skin with good products, you must also make sure to eat healthy, drink a lot of water and get enough sleep so you dont have bags and dark circles under your eyes.
What do you do to take care of your skin?
